-Created and delivered a new course introducing students to rapid-prototyping and personal fabrication/manufacturing with a focus on open-source practices. Students where taught how to build 3d printers, CNC machines and 3d-Scanners . Outcomes were regularly exhibited to the public.
-Fostered an entrepreneurial approach to rapid-prototyping which has led to the development of small service-based business by former students.
-Lectured and project managed Upper-Pool Studios in conjunction with Industry partners to produce advanced-stage prototypes for manufacturing and commercialisation considerartion by client.

- Charged with all aspects of design for the production of commercial products for the infant and toddler market. Responsible for all work ranging from initial concept generation through to multiple iterations of manufacture-ready prototyping, costing and tooling considerations.
- Conducted component sourcing through multiple international suppliers. Components and services sourced from China, Taiwan, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
- Produced print material for patent filing applications and manufacturer tooling documentation. Additionally, worked with local Australian and International Safety standards to ensure design would satisfy commercial requirements.

- Involved in the development of way-finding solutions for multiple concurrent, large-scale architectural projects. Work ranged from the conceptual stages through to refined representations of aesthetic and functional attributes.
- Daily production of 3D models, 2D Illustrations and detail drawings for fast-paced communication with varied stakeholders on status of design development.
- Operated comfortably within a vastly multidisciplinary work-environment to complete design tasks within tight deadlines.
Side Project One
Owner and Designer

- Founded a ‘micro-business’ designing and producing limited edition, hand-finished, rapid-prototype jewellery under the label ‘Side Project One’.
- Established and operated stock, account and supplier management systems.
- Stocked a number of prominent Melbourne shops supporting independent designers which attracted attention from nationally distributed print media.
- Retailed at the State of Design Festival Victoria 2011 and the Pin-up Gallery as a contributor to ‘The Scale of Things’ design collective. Exhibited work at the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2012 as part of ‘The art of the Cuff’.

- Responsibilities spanned from concept generation of bicycle attachment advertising surfaces all the way to functional prototyping, in-field user testing and full product manufacturing.
- Established a strong working relationship with local manufacturers and suppliers to produce a flexible and resilient product within a conservative budget.
- Additional work also included graphic design and illustration for web and print material, technical documentation for manufacture and the production of a fully illustrated instruction manual distributed with each product.

- Design for a major exhibition (Vision: Broadmeadows 2032) featured in Victoria’s 2010 ‘State of Design’ festival. Outcomes included the graphics, design, printing and fabrication of display units, large-format printed banners and posters, vinyl signage and chalk stencil way-finding.
- Developed and produced graphic theme, display stands and all printed material for their Eco-accupuncture 2010 major exhibition in the foyer of the Urban Workshop Building, Melbourne Central Business District.
Victorian Eco-Innovation Lab (VEIL)
Design Intern position
September - October 2009. Melbourne, Australia.
- Completed a three month, project-based internship. Focused on the visual communication of a concept which re-appropriates current civil infrastructure systems and services for alternative, sustainable functions in the Year 2020. Final outcomes displayed at the Stringybark Sustainability Festival 2009, Melbourne, Australia.
RMIT Gradex committee 2010
- Part of a student-led committee which organised the graduate exhibition for the RMIT Industrial Design. Managed a team tasked with the production of all graphic material for the exhibition. A major outcome of my work was the design, printing and distribution of an exhibition catalogue with a print run of 2,500 copies.
RMIT LEAD Program 2009
- Mentoring of younger students in an academic design studio environment. Responsibilities included formal and informal review of student work, offering sustained critical analysis of work in progress and offering constructive feedback.
RMIT SSCC 2008-2010
- Elected student representative to the Industrial Design program’s Student-Staff Consultative committee. Duties involved voicing student opinions and grievances on the facilities and quality of the program to a committee of staff members and the course director.
